A six-piece New Orleans band with a deep love of vintage blues and impeccable style, bringing together strings and brass in a powerful way; the Duane Bartels Band creates a masterful fusion of classics and modern technique with an energy that you must see to believe.
Besides her enormous talents making her one of the best Elvira impersonators we have seen, Crisie is a rising star in her own right. Crisie has recently featured high on the music leader boards and has new albums availble to hear and buy online; please check them out, you will not be disappointed. Her song Battle Scars is one of our favorites.
We are delighted that Crisie Isbell will be our MC for the evening and we are looking forward to a night with the Mistress of the Dark!
Well-established in the goth and industrial club scene since 2006, and a long resume including the VIP Room DJ for Endless Night's 2009-2011 events, Razor of Simple Complexity: Altered Super Ego DJs is the reclusive & enigmatic persona of Simple Complexity Studios. With his signature "mixing & cutting" performance style, every set is meshed with live mashups mixed on-the-fly - giving every dance floor its own darkly unique atmosphere.

From storytelling, character acting, Vaudeville, fetish, stilt walking, fire dancing, go-go dancing and burlesque, this Buddhist Green Witch has been a versatile artist/performer for over two decades. Bringing intensity and dancing in the deep end of the emotional pool, her passionate performances are dramatic and tend to "rip your heart out and put it gently in your lap". This is why, early in her performance/art career, she was deemed "The Mysterious Lady Shanime".

About CotA's New Orleans Gatherings
For Dark Gift ALLIANCE, CotA provides a particular New Orleans night, once a year, in which a sacred truce is made and honored by many of the preternatural. On this one night, werewolves mix with witches, fairies associate with vampires, and sometimes vampires even socialize with other vampires...
This peace is respected throughout the evening and until dawn of the following day.
Dark Gift ALLIANCE events are inclusive, welcoming vampires, witches, werewolves, fairies, and the like — even humans and familiars are allowed, with supervision.
What's different about CotA's events?
Dark Gift ALLIANCE and other CotA gatherings are just that-- gatherings. We strive to provide a blend of sophistication and energy to create the perfect atmosphere; one where you can have a good time while able to visit with others. We enjoy a slamming goth club night just as much as the next, but that’s simply not what our events are all about. Consider this more an annual preternatural meet and greet, where we can make and catch up with… old friends.
Dress Code / Are certain colors not allowed?
Specific attire is not required although gothic / formal / fable / victorian dress is strongly encouraged. Please support and represent your kindred by your finest appropriate attire, and be a good steward of your kind. Take a look at our other guests in the gallery.
We receive the question of "Am I allowed to wear x color?" occasionally. Why the hell not?
What is your refund policy?
Often, we cannot provide refunds if you find you need to cancel. Once we have reached the minimum guest count for a venue we can offer limited refunds. These would need to be handled after the event has completed.
What can I do to help?
Please check out our donors and give them some love. They are generously supporting our cause and we are grateful to them forever. Forever is a very long time.
I have a group that would like to be part of a CotA event.
Please contact Louis. You can reach him at louis @ covenofthearticulate.com — he has nothing better to do.
